1 chairman dies in two-car pile-up in Durham

One chairman was killed early this sunrise and an additional was severely harmed in a head-on pile-up on Hillsborough Road in Durham, military said.

The collision happened at 1:44 a.m. on Hillsborough Road nearby Bellevue Avenue when an eastward 1995 Chevrolet Corsica crossed the core line and collided with a westbound 1999 Nissan Sentra driven by Yonsy Balmore-Campos, 23, of Durham, Durham military said. The Nissan was in the correct line of transport when the collision occurred.

The motorist of the Corsica, whose name is not being expelled since kin have not been notified, was trapped in his car and conspicuous passed at the scene, military said. Balmore-Campos was taken to Duke University Hospital for diagnosis of critical injuries.

Investigators charged Balmore-Campos with pushing whilst impaired, receive of an open enclosure of ethanol in a car and pushing but a license, military said.

The collision slowed trade on Hillsborough Road for about 3 hours.
